The verdict was contained in the verdict read by the KPK Council. The reason is, Lili Pintauli is considered guilty of violating ethics related to her communication with the Mayor of Tanjungbalai, Syahrial. In fact, Syahrial is a litigant at the KPK.

Syahrial is a suspect in the sale and purchase of positions in Tanjungbalai. In her communication, Lili Pintauli told Syahrial that she had a case at the KPK.

"In around July 2020, the Examined contacted witness M Syahrial when the Examined saw the file for the sale and purchase of positions in the name of Witness M Syahrial on his desk by saying 'this is your name on my desk, shame you still took Rp 200 million'," explained the member of the supervisory board of KPK. In October, Syahrial again contacted Lili Pintauli to ask for information on the KPK investigators who were searching North Labuhanbatu. Syahrial asked Lili Pintauli for help regarding his case.

Lili Pintauli even suggested Syahrial to consult a lawyer he recommended named Arif Aceh (formerly Fahri Aceh). It is not yet known who the person in question is and how to follow up on Lili Pintauli's recommendation.

"The examiner suggested that witness M Syahrial contact a lawyer in Medan, saying 'yes, this is Arif Aceh's number, communicate with him'," explained Haris.

The KPK Council said that Lili Pintauli could refuse Syahrial's request for help. However, he instead helped by finding a lawyer

In his presentation, the KPK Council revealed that Lili Pintauli Siregar knew Syahrial on a plane in February-March 2020. At that time, Lili Pintauli and Syahrial were on their way from Kualanamu Medan to Jakarta.

Syahrial, who knew Lili Pintauli, the KPK leader, introduced himself and took a selfie.

After the meeting, Lili Pintauli told Syahrial about the problem of her sister-in-law who is also the former Managing Director of PDAM Tanjung Kualo, Tanjungbalai, Ruri Prihatini Lubis. The service fee has not been paid by PDAM.

Syahrial also promised to check with the current PDAM Director. Lili Pintauli also asked for help so that her sister-in-law's rights were paid. Lili Pun gave her cell phone number to Syahrial.

Previously, Ruri had complained about the problem to Lili Pintauli. Lili also suggested that Ruri should write to the Director of PDAM Tirta Kualo by submitting it to the KPK.

The KPK Council stated that it was excessive and had nothing to do with the duties and authorities of the KPK. Later, Ruri's service fees were also disbursed in installments of a total of Rp. 53.3 million. Previously, it was delayed for eight months.

"The Assembly is of the opinion that the Examined exerts a strong influence on M Syahrial as the Mayor of Tanjung Balai," explained Albertina Ho.
